Michele Weiss’ impressive career — and brimming resume — has produced an activist who holds the knowledge and skills to bring her ideas to life. Michele draws on her stellar leadership skills, a solid accounting background, and years of experience helping organizations streamline their operations, she excels at executing vision with professionalism, precision, and integrity.
Michele is currently the Vice Mayor of the city of University Heights, who was appointed by her fellow councilmembers unanimously twice. She is the CFO of the largest Jewish day school in the state of Ohio, Hebrew Academy of Cleveland. In addition, Michele teaches Cleveland State University as an adjunct professor. Moreover, she is a founding member of a non-profit organization, AMATZ Initiative, which provides professional development to engage principals of schools.
Michele is an accountant by trade and holds a BS in accountancy and MBA from John Carroll University. Michele holds board positions on YACHAD, the Community Relations Committee at the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, and on the Rekindle advisory committee.
Michele has lived on the east side of Cleveland her entire life and in University Heights for 25 years. She is married to her husband Marcelo and has 3 wonderful children.
